Knitting Night Seeks Fabric Arts Folks

Knitting night at CubeSpace is one of the more interesting events we hold. Often, no one shows up except those of us who work here. However, every time we think about eliminating it from the calendar, howls of protest arise from those who don't come.

The time has come to attempt to garner more support for knitting night. I would like to remind everyone that knitting night is not just for those who knit, but also those who crochet, do needlework, spin on something portable, or create fiber art in another manner (which won't result in permanent damage to CubeSpace...no dyeing).

I'd also like to encourage those interested in learning to show up. We have a number of people who can teach you the basics (or a bit more), we have scraps of yarn for you to learn on, and some spare needles. And we love to proselytize (about knitting).

We know there is a huge knitting community in Portland. We'd love for everyone to come join us. It's free, it's fun and we love to talk about knitting.

So, don't just get excited about the idea of knitting night, come celebrate it with us.

Désolée d'habiter si loin; je serais bien venue avec mon métier à tisser sous le bras...; le petit cadre, bien sûr!
Longue vie à tous vos projets.
