As usual, I have a whole slew of excuses explaining my blog silence. One was preparing for Ignite Portland where I gave a talk on How to Run a Startup and Not Lose Your Mind. For the record, I don't actually know the answer because that week was so crazy that I really was losing my mind.
In a related excuse, I actually have an unplublished draft of a blog post about the correlation of locus of control and leadership. The reason it is unplublished, is because it frankly sucked. I was also using it as a way to think through some issues and it just went nowhere.
I have also been working with SCORE and OTBC to plan some joint workshops and Lunch and Learn's to help support local microbusinesses.
And, amidst all of that work, David and I finally managed to resolve a long-standing debate here at CubeSpace. One of the things I recommend (but rarely remember to do) is to take breaks when you get stuck. Or even if you don't. Sitting at the computer all day is bad. So David and I starting polling folks about whether we should get a pool table or a ping pong table.
The votes were strongly in favor of a pool table, but they take up a lot of room and I just really love the sound that ping pong makes. So, like so many other things, David and I shelved the debate in favor of the nine-gazillion other things on our todo this. That is, until today.
Today we unveiled CubeSpace's very own Wii. David earned many, many hero points by going to Fred Meyer early on Sunday morning and picking up a still hard to find Wii. And in addition to the basic set of games he got one that has both pool and ping pong.
So, come by CubeSpace, set up your very own Mii and take a break with us.
